About Us

The Village of Dunkirk can be found at the crossroads of State Route 81 and US Route 68.  The intersection of the N-S and E-W railroad tracks as well.  This crossing of the rails was made notorious by the movie Runaway Train because the chase engine sat on the E-W track and pulled onto the N-S track immediately following the runaway's passing.  Kenton Ohio is where the chase finally ended, just 15 miles to the South of Dunkirk.
